A bidirectional or unidirectional 8″ diameter light, the TWCS is used in taxiway centreline, stop bar and intermediate holding positions for ICAO CAT I, II and III, FAA and military taxiways. The light comes with an adaptor ring that also makes it suitable for 12″ diameter bases. Consisting of a single lamp, the light offers stable chromaticity thanks to the use of dichroic filters. It has a rated life of 1500 hours at full intensity, but over 3000 hours in field operating conditions. Its drop-forged dome and cast aluminum lower cover make the fitting sturdy, but lightweight too for easy handling in the field.
