A bidirectional or unidirectional 12″ diameter light, the SLTE is used as a threshold/runway end light for ICAO CAT I, II and III, and military runways. The light offers stable chromaticity thanks to the use of dichroic filters. The lamp has a rated life of 1000 hours at full intensity, but over 3000 hours in field operating conditions. The cast aluminum dome and lower cover make the fitting sturdy, but lightweight too for easy handling in the field.
